Superlux™ Microphone Sample Tracks

This CD was entriely recorded with Superlux and Avlex microphones. Dan Kury the producer and recording engineer wrote "I ordered a CM-H8A and boy was I surprised. I compared it to a Neumann TLM170i and a KM84 at the studio and although it sounds different, it is certainly "IN THE LEAGUE". I sold all my AKG and Neumann mics ... (and) have since replaced them all with Avlex/Superlux microphones. The mic complement used was: kick drum Superlux PRA-218B, snare drum Superlux PRA-238B, hi hat Avlex Ci35, mounted toms and floor tom Superlux PRA-238B, stereo overheads for cymbals Superlux PRA-238B with windscreens removed. Guitar amp Superlux CM-H8A, acoustic upright bass Avlex Ci35 and pick up (direct feed), piano two Superlux CM-H8A, vocal Superlux CM-H8A. The piano mics were left absolutely flat as well as the vocal. If you can't tell by now, I am very proud of the quality that this CD projects, not only in the music, and the playing, but the overall transparent sound that the music emerges with. Thanks to Avlex/Superlux I can afford as many mics as I want and don't have to place a second mortgage on my home to afford a case of awesome sounding microphones."
